There are lots of artists and bands within the music industry who have had great longevity and will be remembered long after they leave this world - Paul Mc Cartney still commands a great crowd on his own and the days of the Beatles will continue to live on. The Rolling Stones are still doing concerts, Tom Jones has been belting out songs and shaking his hips from as far back as the days of Elvis Presley... but there is one artist who stands out... one particular artist who continues to reinvent herself... one artist who understands the changes in popular music and continues to produce no. 1s... M A D O N N A !

Her new single 'Give it To Me' (see video directly below) sounds brilliant and her lyrics 'I can go on and on and on' are fitting for a woman who released her first song on April 24th 1982.

While other artists have had their day Madonna goes from strength to strength. She was hugely successful in the 1980s with hits such as 'Like a Virgin', 'Papa don't preach' and 'Material Girl'. The 90s produced limited success and she was slated for her role in the film 'Body of Evidence'. So did she fade away like many other stars..?! Damn right she didn't!

While the average human beings were finding it hard to just keep up with the changes in their own kids' taste, Madonna was in the middle of producing another album which would be successful world wide. Ray of Light was released in 1998 and brought her back to the big time, producing hit singles such as 'Frozen', 'Ray of Light' and 'Nothing Really Matters'.

Into the naughtys and we were presented with a new style which provided us with cool tracks like Hung Up in 2005:

That was followed up with her collaboration with JT and Timbaland - 4 minutes:

and now her new single 'Give it to Me' is another sure thing. How the hell does she do it? Almost 30 years on and she's still no.1.
